Our services include new home/residential construction, commercial and industrial construction, rental and/or lease-purchase housing opportunities, disaster restoration and consulting services (specifically for persons interested in learning more about real estate investment and the construction industry).

Committed to excellence, C-1, Inc. is a licensed general contractor with the State of Tennessee Board of Contractors and a BBBAccredited Business . We are also members of the Memphis Area Home Builders Association, the Uniform Certification Agency and the Mid-South Minority Business Council.

As a qualified general contractor on multiple vendor lists, we are eligible to participate in various local and regional contracting opportunities. Please contact us for more specific information.

We are also dedicated to providing quality and affordable housing to Memphis area residents. Rental housing opportunities are primarily, but not solely, provided to eligible participants in the Memphis Housing Authority or the Tennessee Housing Development Agency Section 8 Program. OUR HISTORY

C-1, Inc. Property Management, Construction and Consulting began in 1999, and has grown tremendously over the years. At its inception, we purchased abandoned and foreclosed properties to renovate and sell. As time progressed, we saw an opportunity to fill a niche in the local real estate market—offering affordable housing for persons who might not be ready for homeownership. In so doing, we also believe that we are helping to bring some stability to these communities.

We have renovated hundreds of properties and housed many persons in and around the greater Memphis metropolitan area. We take pride in producing a high-quality product as well as providing first-rate service to our tenants.

We have expanded our services to include custom and spec homebuilding as well as one-on-one consultation. We are experienced in disaster restoration—typically required by insurance companies as a result of fire, storm, flood, or other natural disasters. Our services include new home/residential construction, commercial and industrial construction, rental and/or lease-purchase housing opportunities, disaster restoration and consulting services. In addition, C-1, Inc. can act as the general contractor as well as a sub-contractor for local vendors and/or customers needing various construction services.

Gerald Neely
Gerald Neely is the president and owner of C-1, Inc. Property Management, Construction, and Consulting. He has been licensed by the State of Tennessee Board of Contractors as a general contractor since 1998. He is extremely knowledgeable of the construction industry and strives to keep abreast of industry changes and improvements. He has supervised hundreds of sub-contractors and is dedicated to ensuring that the construction work is done correctly and professionally.

Gerald is the former Contractor’s Assistance Program (CAP) Coordinator for the City of Memphis’ Division of Housing and Community Development. While serving in that capacity, he assisted countless persons in obtaining their home improvement license and/or general contractor’s license as well as helping to strengthen their overall business capabilities.

As CAP Coordinator, he proctored the only Residential Contractor’s Licensing Class offered via satellite in Memphis, Tennessee from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He acted as class proctor for 5 years, offering 2 classes per year.

Gerald is a graduate of The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

Kaela Neely
Kaela Neely is the vice-president and office manager of C-1, Inc. With experience in the local government and nonprofit sectors, she brings unique organizational abilities to the table. She handles all of C-1, Inc.’s day-to-day office operations and bookkeeping responsibilities, including account payable and account receivable matters. She also handles membership/association renewals, website changes and updates, and distributes all other business correspondence.

Kaela has also been a licensed Realtor® with Coldwell Banker, John R. Thompson in Memphis, Tennessee since 2000. As an affiliate broker with a number of professional designations, she is part of an elite network of more than 120,000 sales associates around the globe. Kaela specializes in residential property sales. She is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors, North West Mississippi Association of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.
